The City of Westwego's tourism center provides information to visitors about nearby attractions. Tourism is a growing sector of importance in Westwego. Several hotels have opened on the outskirts of town and a new Hampton Inn is about to be built on the Westbank Expressway in Westwego. Visitors can stay nearby as they visit historic Salaville with its Farmeres/Fisheries Market and Historical Museum as well as the Alario Center or Bayou Segnette State Park.
